We are excited to announce new rock star members of the BLDD team! These talented new hires will support increased project demand and help achieve continued growth throughout the firm.
First we welcome Thomas Geoghegan. Thomas brings a background in both architecture and structural engineering to BLDD. His previous work experience includes specialty structures and engineering for various residential projects. Thomas’ friends will tell you he often holds them up when he insists on stopping to observe construction sites.
Illinois’s flat terrain lends itself well to Thomas’s favorite pastime, cycling. Thomas is also trying his hand at coding, a hobby which he hopes may one day find itself into his work. Thomas has dabbled in woodworking and 3d Printing. If you are curious, Geoghegan is pronounced “Go-Hay-Gun.”
Also in our Central Illinois office, Daniela Gomez joins BLDD as an Architectural Intern. A recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Daniela previously interned with BLDD. She is inspired by how an increasingly urban population is transforming architecture into a field motivated by social values, making it more accessible to communities in need.
Daniela was fortunate to find other salsa dancers the very day she moved to Champaign. Besides salsa dancing, she loves camping, road-tripping, and walking down the streets of a new American city whenever she gets the chance.
